About Me

Hello, I’m Mikayla, an illustrator and graphic designer from Southwest Missouri.

Growing up in the beautiful Ozarks and watching my great-grandmothers and grandmother paint and create grew my love of art. I continued growing my passion for art by studying graphic design for two years at Ozark Technical Community College and Southwest Baptist University. I then received a bachelor’s degree in art and Illustration from John Brown University. After graduating, I continued my work in graphic design.

I enjoy creating work in both the traditional and digital disciplines. My work is often a combination of illustrative techniques with graphic design knowledge and marketability. I enjoy working with a variety of mediums including pencils, inks, gouache, watercolor, and Adobe Illustrator.

In my free time, you can find me reading poetry, painting, and volunteering my talents in graphic design to non-profits.
