United Airlines Hong Kong poster

This piece was created with United airlines in mind. If used it would be displayed in a travel agency or airport to make people, consider a trip to Hong Kong. The entire image is a vector made in Adobe Illustrator. I wanted to focus on what aspects would interest me and others on a trip to Hong Kong. That is why I decided to focus on the beautiful ancient architecture that stands in Hong Kong. I included the bridge in the front because I wanted it to feel as if you could walk through the poster and straight into the scene.

This piece was made first from a photo reference then built up layer after layer. I used the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator to create the piece. Using the photo reference to get the perspective, detailing, and colors correct. Each section was made on its own layer: a layer for the bridge, bottom floor, bottom roof, balcony, second floor, top roof, background. Creating a building this way makes it necessary to work in requires working in small sections and layers. It can take hours, but I love the result.
