Reduction Printmaking

This piece was created using linoleum as a “plate”. I created thumbnails for my design and then transferred my design onto my linoleum piece. The piece was created very similarly to the Flower Girl piece except it is a three-color reduction print. I cut and inked each piece one at a time. The first color was blue so I cut away anything I wanted to stay paper color. After that the color was grey so I cut anything I wanted to stay blue away. Then I cut anything I wanted to stay grey away and printed the pink. Because of the process the plate was destroyed and cannot be printed again.
